Yes, The Design Center in Frisco, and FloorAccents in Highland Village are open to customers and ready to serve customers in DFW. However, we do not serve new construction.

Due to COVID-19, our hours are Monday through Saturday 11AM to 4PM.

Our role starts with helping the customers look, choose, and color coordinate – working closely together to find the perfect desired design. After the customer agrees to the proposal and design, The Design Center team works to implement a smooth remodeling process beginning with demolition and ending with touch ups.

The simple answer is: Labor and materials for everything you cannot visually see. Essentially, the work and material our contractors use behind the scenes. In details and in no particular order:

• Permit (if required)
• Demo and removal
• Framing
• Lining
• Shower pan
• Hardie backer
• Cubie & Bench
• Plumbing
• “Create the slope” Plumbing codes require a slope of 1/4 inch per foot.
• Centering the drain or sometimes relocating the drain
• Red Guard
• Testing
• Tile labor for shower floor and walls
• Tile labor for rest of bathroom
• Vanity and installation
• Countertop
• Backsplash
• Plumbing again to connect basin or sink.
• Shower glass installation.

Assuming no flooring is required:

• Ordering new Cabinets: May take up to 6 weeks. (5-6 weeks for Kraftmaid, 3-4 for weeks for Merillat Waypoint, and one week for others) Note: OLD KITCHEN IS STILL USABLE DURING WAIT-TIME
• Removal of old kitchen begins once new cabinets are received (1-2D)
• Install new cabinets (2-3 days)
• Fabricator takes measurements of countertops (1-2 Day)
• Deliver and install countertop (7-9 Days)
• Install backsplash (1-3 days)
• Perform touchup (1-2 Day)

Assuming the wood is the same type, then the following are the factors:

• Wood grade
• Plywood or particle wood thickness
• Allowing wood to settle to stabilize movement.
• Sanding machines combined with hand sanding.
• Joint sealant to reduce joint lines.
• Number of coats
• Dove tails construction.
• Six-way adjustable hinges
• Smooth close with height calibration option
• Weight that Glides can handle.
• Internal finish.
